ABOUT US

Clarkstown Connemaras is a family-run business, set on the edge of the Cotswolds. The stud was founded in 2012 by John and Emma Rugman, with a focus on breeding and producing quality competition ponies.

The whole family takes a keen interest in the stud. Having evented at CCI** level in the past, Emma decided to focus largely on producing ponies - which she did alongside working at Horse & Hound in London for a number of years. Emma is now managing the business full time. Although Harry and Isabel are now competing horses, they still do a lot of work with the ponies. Alongside the pure bred ponies, we are starting to see our first part-breds under saddle, which is an exciting addition to the stud.
